CAPT: Math Supplemental Test

LAST DAY OF CAPT!

Class warm-up: show nasa pic-of-the-day http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html and discuss Moon's distance at perigee (356,500 km) and apogee (406,500 km)...Use this to put big numbers into sci notation!

Periods 1, 2, 4, 7:

-Per 2, 4, 7 have textbook reading and questions (#1-7 p. 752) due Wed.

Friday, March 18 D

Sci CAPT part II today! All classes take the post-sci CAPT survey.

Assign Per 2, 4, 7 HW for next Wed- read textbook pages 747-752 and do #1-7 on p. 752 for Wed 3/23.

Per 7 begins the Light WQ (given out on Monday to other classes)...may make this due later in week for them.

CAPT Science Part I: debrief in class today.

Periods 1, 2, and 4: Webquest is due Tuesday. (WQ was previously posted on Monday)

CAPT day #5: Math II

*ALL STUDENTS- get a good night's rest tonight bc Sci CAPT starts tomorrow (Thur 3/17)!

-review practice CAPT test (yesterday's HW)

-finish review of CAPT topics (posted last week)

Period 3 (lab for per 4 kids):

-finish WQ (from Monday) if time

-Assign CAPT practice test for HW (each student will get a hard copy; can't post it due to copyright)

-Review part of CAPT study guides (posted last week)

Friday, March 11 E

NO CAPT today! Next CAPT test (Math) is Tuesday, 3/15

Periods 1-4:

-review Enzyme expt (from frosh year) using PPT in the sci drive
-try some open-ended enzyme CAPT questions and watch video of CAPT experiment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE1jAVwSH0U

Period 7:
-finish electromagnet lab
